Since that survey, the New York Harbor wholesale price of heating oil has risen from $4.35 a gallon on Mar 30 to $4.80 on Sep 22, 2026, according to EIA. Retail prices tend to follow wholesale prices, so expect the first survey of the new season to reflect that move.
